What is a Registered Holistic Allergist (RhA)?

A Registered Holistic Allergist (RhA) has received accreditation from the Institute of Natural Health Technologies (INHT) to practice an intolerance elimination techniques called Bio-energetic Intolerance Elimination (BIE). All practitioners of BIE have received prior training and education in the health and wellness field, such as Acupuncturists, Chiropractors, Naturopathic Doctors, Nutritionists and Nurses.

What is Bioenergetic Intolerance Elimination (BIE)?

Bioenergetic Intolerance Elimination (BIE) is an innovative scientific technique used to enable one’s body to identify allergenic substances, allowing for complete recovery from all symptoms associated with allergies. By promoting one’s own abilities to overcoming allergic symptoms without the use of needles or drugs, BIE is incredibly effective and painless.Meridian Channels

Bioenergetic pathways allow energetic signals to flow continuously through and around the body. It is through these bioenergetic meridians that the brain and nervous system receive information about the state and functioning of the body as a whole. Modern electro magnetic imaging technology has confirmed the presence of these pathways. When blockages occur within these pathways, the body is unable to recognize various food or environmental substances. This results in allergy.

How does BIE work?

A low electronic frequency is transmitted onto several acupuncture points (without the use of needles) across the body using a state-of-the-art device (GSR-120). The impulse generated will travel through different meridian channels in the body and work to clear any energy blockages while simultaneously introducing the cells to the allergenic frequencies (as opposed to exposing the body to the actual substance). During this time, the cells are essentially ‘reprogrammed’ to recognize and process the allergen’s frequency without adverse reactions.

Here’s a video from the Institute of Natural Health Technologies explaining allergies and BIE in more detail:

What’s the difference between an Allergy and an Intolerance?

An intolerance refers to a non-immune system response ranging from a minor irritation to an extreme reaction. The substance in which our body reacts to, which is generally non-threatening, is viewed by our body as a threat to our general well being.

A Medical Allergist’s definition of allergy: “a reaction to an otherwise harmless substance, food or environmental, that results in an immune system response”. This reaction consists of the release of histamine, leading to an inflammatory reaction.

A Holistic Allergist has a new definition of allergy: ”a bioenergetic counteraction to a given substance which results in a reaction within the body”

Are there any side effects from the BIE procedure?

When the body has been freed of an intolerance or allergy to which it has been exposed to in the past, any damaged tissues will begin to break down and reabsorb back into the body. The odd headache, sore throat, sinus congestion, tired or lethargic feeling, aches and pains or even nausea are all usually signs of the body regenerating new cells and cleansing itself. This is known as a “healing crisis”.

A healing crisis can start the day after the session up to 3 weeks in some cases, and may last from 1 to 28 days. For this reason, many are surprised when the intolerances they have been cleared of are still causing problems. In fact, they may appear to be getting sick. This is actually a good sign, not a bad one. The body is merely re-experiencing the same symptoms, temporarily, as it now returns on the uphill road, throwing off and eliminating toxic wastes.

How quickly will my intolerance be eliminated?

It requires only 1 to 4 sessions to clear an allergy/intolerance in minutes. Approximately 75% to 80% of intolerances are cleared the first session. However, depending on the degree of intolerance, and stress level of the client, amount of bodily toxins and the strength of the person’s immune system, the others may require a second, third or, rarely even a forth session.

Does BIE remove allergy symptoms permanently? (How long will I be free of an intolerance once it has been removed?)

Once the intolerance is removed, you will most likely never experience symptoms from the same substance again.

How is BIE different from NAET?

The comparison below is intended to simply outline the differences and in no way is attempting to slander NAET. I encourage everyone interested in natural allergy relief to research all options and go with the technique that resonates best with them.

NAET

  1. The NAET protocol requires each client to have a “recommended” 12 substances desensitized first before desensitizing the problem allergens requested by the client.
  2. According to the NAET website, it will require 10 to 50 sessions to desensitize an allergy and approximately $40.00 to $70.00 per session (subject to the practitioners fees)
  3. NAET requires the practitioners to desensitize only 2 or 3 substances per visit.
  4. According to the NAET website, they have “up to” 80% success rate of allergy elimination. (Some NAET practitioners claim only 50% to 60% success rate with NAET)
  5. NAET is using the body’s own energy to desensitize the allergen
  6. NAET uses Chinese acupuncture “back shu” points only to desensitize the allergy.
  7. After each item desensitized, the client must avoid the substance for at least 24 hours before re-exposure to that substance (which makes pollen, dust and danders abstinence difficult in many cases)

BIE

  1. No set recommended substances to desensitize before desensitizing the substance requested by the client
  2. BIE claims 1 to 4 sessions to desensitize an allergen with 80% of allergens desensitized only once without requiring any subsequent visits for the same substance.
  3. BIE requires a total of 5 categories of substances (or a maximum of 36 vials) be desensitized per session.
  4. BIE claims approx. 99.5% clear rate of allergy elimination.
  5. BIE uses a specialized Galvanic Skin Response device called the GSR-120 unit to apply a subtle energy directly onto acupuncture points that not only open meridian points, but reset the cells response to the allergen.
  6. BIE uses Chinese acupuncture points that involve head-to-toe points for full body coverage.
  7. There is no recommended abstinence required from any substance once desensitized.

How are allergies tested/determined?

Allergies and intolerances are determined using muscle testing, also referred to as Biofeedback Analysis or Applied Kinesiology. This is a highly effective health screening procedure used to obtain information from the body to determine what is needed in order to heal itself. A particular muscle is isolated and exposed to a specific substance’s energetic properties to determine either a positive or negative response. A weakness in the indicator muscle reveals a disruption in the energy flow and therefore the presence of an allergen. An increase of strength in the indicator muscle confirms the body’s ability to process the substance being tested. Needles are not required.

What type of allergies can be tested and addressed with BIE?
BIE has been used for an incredibly wide spectrum of intolerances. The body can literally be intolerant to anything. A few of the most common reasons people use BIE include:

Food Allergies
All food and beverages, including (but not limited to) fruit, vegetables, grains, dairy, sugars, alcohol, juices etc., can all cause an allergic symptom.

Environmental/Seasonal Allergies
Some of the most common environmental and seasonal allergies are molds plants, pollens, trees, grasses, weeds, flowers, dust, dust mites, fabric and fiber like feathers or wool.

Chemical Allergies
Many people exhibit allergic response to chemicals and inhalants, household toxins, cosmetic & hygiene products and perfumes.

Animals/Pet Allergies
It is not uncommon to elicit allergenic symptoms to the family pet or many other animals, such as dogs, cats and other animals. Even insect allergies are common.

Other Allergies
Our bodies can even be intolerant to substances we naturally produce, such as hormones and digestive enzymes. Other allergies and intolerances that are a regular occurrence include vitamins, minerals, amino acids, preservatives, additives, heavy metals, jewelry, latex , sun rays & solar radiation, heat, cold, stress and emotions.

Anaphylaxis and BIE

We strongly urge you to seek approval from your medical doctor / allergist before you ingest, inhale or expose yourself in any way to any substance to which you have been previously diagnosed as anaphylactic. It is a common occurrence to show a “positive” reaction from your scratch, intradermal or RAST test from your doctor after your BIE session. From our observations, we predicate that this could merely be due to one of 2 reasons:

  1. The substance bypasses the first line of defense when it is administered directly into the skin or bloodstream using a scratch test or intradermal test. The pre-programmed IgE antibodies immediately react strongly to the invading allergen. We predicate that it may take time for your body to reprogram your immune system to recognize the substance before your body can recover from an allergy. There may be anywhere from a three month to a seven year delay before your medical doctor’s test shows a “negative” response to the anaphylactic substance. However, you are still strongly cautioned NOT to expose yourself to any substance that you know you are highly allergic to unless you have written consent from your medical doctor/allergist. It is a Holistic Allergist’s objective to work with you and your medical allergist.
  2. RAST, intradermal or scratch tests can occasionally vary in test results. This is not due to err from your doctor, but merely a possible variation of the test itself. Your doctor will explain this to you in further detail.

After your BIE sessions, we suggest having your medical doctor test you again at a future date when he/she feels it is applicable. A minimum of 3 separate BIE sessions are required in cases of anaphylaxis or severe allergy
